i would like a way to label/group photos under specific categories. Tags are a reasonable way to label/group photos but the discoverability between related tags is poor. For example images containing a computer would all have a computer tag but could also have a tag identifying the specific computer model. It would be handy to have a list of all tags that are computer models.

another use case for this is face identification. Tags are a reasonable backend for labeling which faces are in a photo but it would be useful to also have a list of faces rather than having to guess which tags are for faces vs which tags are something else.

another aspect of this issue is the ability to demand specific tags be set on images or having a way to query for images that don't have a tag set among tags in a specific group. Identifying these images through search is technically possible now but requires that you manually set the tag filter.
